Clarence

On March 1st, the latest in a long line of puppies came to stay with our younger adult “kids.”  This time was different because the Mama dog, Cassidy, was with her pups.  Cassidy is a young mom, they figure only a year or two old, but she has been every bit as protective as an older mom would be.  They were discarded like rubbish, with another dog thrown into the box with them.  The box was left on the ground between two major streets.  It’s amazing anyone paid attention but someone gave them to somebody else and they were brought in to the Humane Society.  Cassidy had some indication she had tried to defend the pups from the other dog in the box with them trying to protect her new pups but all were okay.  They came to the kids when they were a day old.  Charlie is the largest, black and white with brown cheeks.  Casper is the 2nd largest and has a heart-shaped patch of white fur on his neck which stands out against the black.  Clarence was the runt of the litter, black with brown ankles and a bit of white on his chest.  He was tiny except for his ears… and 2 days ago, he was the first to walk.  Initially all the puppies could fit in the palm of your hand.  Clarence was still at that point when we saw him a week ago…a small, blue-eyed ball of fur.

He had dealt with so much in his short little life:  abandonment by his owner; the terror of being in danger from the other dog in the box; displacement and always trying to get in to eat and be by mom, though he was the tiniest.  Despite all of it he was a sweet puppy who was well loved and well cared for…maybe he would have grown up to be spoiled if he had been given that opportunity.  Unfortunately,  that was not to be…yesterday little Clarence, was found in the corner of the cage…having died some time prior.  Cassidy gave him one last bath, the kids, grieving, wrapped him in a towel and took him to the Humane Society.  They were told many runts of the litter have small hearts and as they grow their heart eventually stops beating.  He probably went to sleep and never woke up, a painless easy transition.  The Bible doesn’t say, “All Dogs Go To Heaven” like the movie, but we know that  eventually things will be made right.

We thank you Lord for the time, albeit brief, Clarence was on this earth bringing joy to the people he was in contact with.  We pray for healing of the hearts that grieve for a tiny puppy, named after Clarence, the angel, in “It’s a Wonderful Life” as we wait for the world to be made new.

Isaiah 11:6-7 (New King James Version)

“ The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
      The leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
      The calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
      And a little child shall lead them.
    The cow and the bear shall graze;
      Their young ones shall lie down together;
      And the lion shall eat straw like the ox.”

  4. The only reason that a social network would want to fend off these power users is that
    it is bad publicity for the company. All you need to know is their email address
    and you’ll be able to gain access to the
    users account. However, if you are concerned about complete security and need help regarding virus attacks then it is advisable to seek
    help from an expert in this matter.

  5. Check the web for jokes and text someone them to make
    them smile. Also, these days mobile phones offer large number of
